She is a strategic litigator and advisor and is known for helping her clients understand the process and the practical outcomes available to them. If the case cannot be resolved out of court, Melissa is an experienced litigator.
Alternative Dispute Resolution & Collaborative Law
Melissa provides services as a neutral intermediary. She works with individuals to craft a comprehensive and uniquely tailored solution to their family dispute. In addition to in-person mediation services, Melissa also uses technology to facilitate remote mediation services.
Melissa sits on five D.C. metro area court mediation panels (meaning she meets the stringent criteria to sit on each) and has over 300 hours of mediation and dispute resolution training. Melissa is trained, and offers, when appropriate, services as a parent coordinator.
Melissa is trained and serves as a lawyer to her clients in the collaborative divorce process. She also serves as a neutral on international family law issues as part of the collaborative process.
